In Friday night's game at the Coast Guard Academy field, the Ledyard High School football team had everything go their way against East Lyme. On the ground, and in the air, Ledyard went on a scoring rampage, resulting in a 48-0 half time lead.
A variety of players contributed on offense. Darnay Gray, Jordan Kowalski, Chevy Perry, Chris Gill, and Joe Carter, were all utilized by John Rainey, who had his best passing game of the year.
The Ledyard defense did not allow a touch down until the fourth quarter, when the game was already well in hand. The large lead gave Ledyard's offensive starters a chance to rest in the second half, with many players seeing their first varsity action.
Ledyard, now 4-2, plays it's next game away, Friday night, against a tough Montville team.
