Ledyard wins first game in ECC Tournament

                   The Ledyard boy's basketball team survived its first ECC Tournament game Saturday against Waterford H.S. Ledyard struggled in the first half with only a 7 point lead for most of that time. Ledyard coach Dave Cornish played most of the third period with players off the bench, who not only held off a relentless Waterford team, but widened the lead.

                Ledyards rested starters took over in the fourth period and pulled away with a 69-52 win. Ledyard's team effort resulted in five players in double figures. Mugsy Whipple,Darnay Gray, Kensy Desir, Chris Gill, and Khary Childs all had 10 or 11 points. 

                Ledyard's win advance's them to the Wedsnesday night semi-final game against NFA at St.Bernard High School.
