CT State Council of Machinists supports Osten in 19th District State Senate bid

NORWICH—Cathy Osten received the endorsement today of the Connecticut State Council of Machinists. The Machinists represent over 7500 members throughout Connecticut, including workers at Pratt & Whitney and Electric Boat.

“The Machinists are proud to unanimously endorse Cathy Osten for State Senate,” said John Harrity, President of the Connecticut State Council of Machinists. “Her predecessor, Senator Edith Prague, has an unwavering dedication to working men and women. We know Cathy shares the same ideals and will be a strong voice for middle class families in the State Senate.”

Cathy Osten is running for the 19th State Senate district seat, currently held by retiring State Senator Edith Prague. She is a Vietnam-era veteran, retired from 21 years of service in the Connecticut Department of Corrections and is currently serving her third term as the First Selectman for the Town of Sprague.
