Women take on many different roles— wives, employees, mothers, caregivers, volunteers. Many of us hardly pause between the time the alarm goes off and we fall into bed exhausted. And, while we know we should take care of ourselves, it’s hard to figure out how to add that into our days.
To help today’s women face these challenges, the Groton-New London Church is sponsoring “Whole and Holy,” an event for women, on Saturday, October 19. The program will help women seek answers and set priorities in caring for themselves and others, emotionally, physically and spiritually. The event begins at 8:30 am and runs until 1:30 pm. Breakfast, classes, entertainment and an optional yoga or zumba class are included in the $15 registration fee.
The keynote speaker, Melanie Singh of Boston MA, now a consultant at J.Hilburn, has served in ministries in the United States and Canada. She is especially interested in women’s health issues. Melanie has spoken at conferences and women’s events throughout the world.
