Daily Five: Gardeners Needed And Pick Your Own Blueberries

Five things to know on Tuesday, June 26.

1. Tomorrow is forecast to have scattered showers, with thunderstorms with a high near 71, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight may have isolated showers and be partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

2. There’s chatter about a community garden going in Dan Potter's field off Shewville Road. Patrick Kelley, co-founder of the Eastern Connecticut Community Gardens Association, said he’s trying to rouse interest in the project, which he hopes will support veterans and the Ledyard Food Pantry by providing fresh produce. Kelly said he’s got the supplies and energy to get it all started but needs residents to take ownership of the project.
