The Charity Bookshop is a non-profit bookstore staffed by volunteers from the Groton Auxiliary of The Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT. Books marked with green dots will be on sale at half-price through September 29.

The Charity Bookshop is open on Wednesday and Saturday from 10 AM until 4 PM and on Thursday from 2 PM until 6 PM.

We offer good books that may disappear from our shelves at the end of the month. As of Sept. 18, "The Help" is still on the shelf in our hardcover fiction area. And we have a really good selection of green dot books in our paperback section - perfect for a rainy day! Gardening books are priced at 50% off. Then, there are the children’s books, the art books and travel books throughout the store............

The Charity Bookshop offers readers unbeatable prices on new and used books. Regular prices range from $0.20 to $2.00. A handful of very special books are marked at $5.00. We sell children’s books at one-half the price of adult books. Our goal is to raise money for the Child and Family Agency and to promote reading by making good books available at affordable prices.
