Moms Talk Q&A: Running a Household on a Budget

How to Control Household Spending on Food, Clothes and Other Necessities

"Moms Talk Q&A" is a new feature on Ledyard Patch that is part of a new initiative to reach out to moms and families. Each Wednesday at 1 p.m., our Moms Council of experts and smart moms will take your questions, give advice and share solutions.

We realize "Moms Council" sounds pretty formal, so let us introduce the members (you might know some of them). They include Andrea McKenzie, who writes a homeschooling column for Patch; Stephanie Calhoun, president of the Gallup Hill School PTO, and Michelle Tracy, a new Patch writer, whose column, "Without A Manual," made its debut today.

Other Ledyard moms who have agreed to be part of the council and weigh in with comments and advice include Denise Dittrich, Fran Mileski, Pranitha Sada and Keva Fothergill.
