Tuesday's Tremor Was News to Most Gales Ferry Shoppers
Shoppers at Ocean State Job Lot in Gales Ferry Tuesday were taking advantage of the state's tax-free week to do some back-to-school shopping. But they weren't buying batteries or bottled water in advance of Hurricane Irene. And most were unaware of the earthquake that was felt along the Eastern Seaboard.
