This is a wonderful "home town movie house" with updated seating, screen and sound. It is not the multiplex where you feel herded; you feel welcomed. The seating is comfortable, the staff friendly and the movie quality is great. And they use real butter on the popcorn! This is one of my favorite theaters in the area.

A visit to The Olde Mistick Village Theater is a perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening. Movie offerings are always new and up to date. The staff welcomes each guest with a friendly word or two just as if you were entering their home. Clean& comfortable, with affordable prices. We've been heading to this theater for at least 20 years. Wednesdays are a great buy for seniors to see some of the best movies available. ...and the Loft or Go Fish always is a close stop before or after.

We saw Les Mis at Mistick Cinemas a couple of weeks ago, having lunch at Ten Clams before the movie. I agree that it is much nicer than going to the Village than to a multiplex. We were planning on going this weekend to see Lincoln but I am VERY disappointed that it is no longer at ANY theater in the area. That is outrageous. How can such an important movie with such great reviews and awards disappear so quickly?

This is my FAVORITE cinema! I wil wait until my movie is showing at Olde Mistick rather than go to a multiplex. Love the people... perfect strangers become friendly critics in the ladies' room after a wonderful movie, and we all feel like members of a film club with sophisticated and articulated appreciation of stunningly excellent films. And our matinee group enjoys the "apres' cinema" suppers at Go Fish, when we get to discuss scenes, innuendos, plots, twists, characters and casts. It's a treat to savor.
