Bring a picnic and the family to see the fall colors at Sawmill Park and visit Ledyard's unique living history museum, the Water-powered Up-Down Sawmill. Friendly volunteers will demonstrate how to saw logs using authenic equipment from the 1860s and answer your questions. A few yards away from the sawmill you can see our volunteer blacksmiths working iron and ask them questions about this ancient craft.
