Technology Today

I haven't exactly been around long, but in my lifetime, so many technology-related advancements have occured. History happens everyday- but I think technologly's history is the most fascinating.

I was born in 1999. From when I was a small child to right now, I can name multiple events that made history in technology.

  • 2001:  A new generation of video games are released when Microsoft enters the market with X-Box, Sony releases a long awaited Playstation II, and Nintendo releases the Game Cube
  • 2002: The first iPod is premiered
  • 2004: Programs we use today such as Mozzilla Firefox, Gmail and MySpace were created
  • 2005: The laptop computer merges with the student's notebooks and
textbooks to create the Interactive Textbooks
  • 2006: Facebook is created by a young adult in college
  • 2007: Apple presents the iPhone
  • 2008: Flying Windmills are invented by Sky Windpower
  • 2009: Dsi is debuted by Nintendo
  • 2010: Wireless Data Transfer: 4G networks
  • 2011: LED televisions were unveiled
  • 2012: Electric-running cars are available, such as the Chevy Volt

These are only a few events that have taken place in my lifetime. Inventors and scientists try to help improve our world everyday by creating programs, gadets, etc. I can't imagine my life without technology.

I am very thankful for all of the inventions/innovations we have today. Some inventions have surprised me. Such as Interactive Textbooks and educational computer programs. We use them in school all the time, they are immensley educational and useful. But sometimes complicated for a child to operate.
