Readers' Choice: Holdridge's Nursery Wins Go-To Florist

It was a close race with some serious centenders but in the end, Holdridge's captures the most votes.

Roses are red, violets are blue, Holdridge’s is the in Ledyard, Waterford, New London and Montville, too.

The competition was suspenseful for a little while with Montville Florist in Uncasville keeping a narrow lead ahead of Holdridge’s for the first couple days. People chimed in on all the participating Patch sites to proclaim their allegiance and thank their favorite florist, which should come as some consolation to those not in top slot.

captured 36 percent of the votes, received 22 percent of the votes and received 14 percent of votes.

Holdridge's employee and Patch User Rheanna Comeau pointed out that Holdridge’s is a local favorite because the family-owned business has a lot to offer.

She wrote, “Holdridge's of course! You can always find more than just cut flowers like the plant pictured above ;)” in the comments.

The Readers’ Choice poll is just one small way you can tell us who’s the best in your town. Our directory of businesses is really the best way to tell businesses, Patch users (and anyone else who uses the Internet) what makes your favorite spot rise to the top. So, if you think this poll didn’t do justice for your favorite florist, let them know how great they are by writing a review on their business listing.
