Autism Speaks Receives Generous Check from Reindel Event

When David Reindel of Reindel Advisory Services in Mystic, CT, purchased a Good Humor Ice Cream Truck and began its renovation process, he wondered, “Now what do I do with this to make people happy?” The answer was to attend events for charity and offer the ice cream sales to their cause. Plus, he decided to match those funds himself to enhance the donations.

Recently, Reindel presented a check to Autism Speaks for $5,750.00, representing funds received from book sales, ice cream sales and donations from an event held several weeks ago to benefit the charity. And, of course, his Good Humor truck was on site, as he presented the check to Kristin Albari of Autism Speaks. Also on hand were Wayne Carini of Discovery Channel’s Chasing Classic Cars program and former U.S. Representative Rob Simmons.

Other area charitable causes have received funds from Reindel and his Good Humor truck, such as the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer’s Walk Across SE CT fundraiser. “When you have been helping people for as many years as I have, it just comes naturally to want to do more,” shares Reindel.
