Snow Geese on Boxing Day

Down here in Virginia, snow geese gather on the route south.

Here in Wachapreague, Va., we're on one of the major flyways for migration. Flocks of snow geese began showing up this week. They are beautiful, very wild, spooking at nearly anything.

Huge flocks have been landing and dining in the corn field behind our house. I took this video and photo in the rain this morning.
