Daily Five: Baseball Coaches Needed!

Five things to know for Wednesday Feb. 22, 2012

1. Today's weather, according to noaa.gov: "Increasing clouds, with a high near 55. West wind between 5 and 13 mph. Wednesday Night: A chance of light rain, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%."

2. According to the Ledyard Parks and Rec Department, March 1 is the last day to register for baseball. You can call/stop in to Parks & Rec. office, 4 Blonders Blvd., Ledyard, Mon-Fri, 8:30am – 4:30pm (Phone: 860-464-9112). Also, coaches are needed! Check out Ledyard Youth League's website for more information and for registration forms you can download. And log onto the department's website for the full run down of great spring and summer programs!

3. Today is Ash Wednesday. There is a service at St. David's, and one at United Methodist Church. Ledyard Patch has a complete listing of the churches in town, as well as everything else under the sun!
