Daily Five: Game Night, Basketball Breakfast

1. Today's forecast, according to noaa.gov, calls for our favorite kind of fog ("patchy"): A chance of rain or drizzle before 10am, then a chance for drizzle before ending. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 48. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph becoming northwest. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

2. On Wednesday, Foxwoods Resort Casino had a ceremony marking its 20th anniversary. The Patch sites in southeastern Connecticut ran a poll asking locals if they go to either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. Forty-two percent of the 187 respondents said they don't go to the casino. Thirty-two percent said they go, but not to gamble. Patch reader LB posted he/she goes to Mohegan Sun "Only for Krispy Kreme and nothing more." Check for Patch's Poll at 4 p.m., every Monday-Friday.

4. Family Game Night at Gallup Hill School starts at 6 tonight. Choose from Go Fish, Monopoly JR, Chess, Checkers, Chutes and Ladders, Boggle, Name that state, Tic Tac Toe, Puzzles. Remember to post all your great events on our calendar for free!

5. On Saturday morning, you can support the Ledyard High boys' basketball team, which is having a great season, at this breakfast fundraiser. Check out all the food for only $10/ticket: Scrambled eggs, bacon (turkey & regular), Sausage, Pancakes, Waffles, Home Fries, Biscuits, Coffee, Tea and OJ.
