Daily Five: Last Chance for Parks and Rec Discount

2. Friday June 8th is last day to receive a $15 discount per child for the six-week summer playground program. Please check their website for additional information, www.ledyardrec.org

3. Alice Acres is offering free workshops Saturday. Learn how to care of your hanging baskets and get some tips on how to keep your baskets and containers looking great all season at 10 a.m. Vegetable gardening 101 will be at 1 p.m. and you’ll learn how to start your garden and get fresh veggies all summer. Both classes will be taught by Farmer Pete and are open to everyone.

4. Did you know you can access Heritage Quest for free with your library card? It is one of many databases available through the library's website. Look at it from home or the library. Maybe you will find your ancestors like one of the library's patrons did this week!
