1. Today is forecast to be cloudy with a high near 69, according to the National Weather Service. There’s a chance of showers late tonight, like after 3 a.m., and a low near 58.

2. Who wants to march with Ledyard Safe Teens Coalition in the Memorial Day parade Sunday? Call Carolyn at 860.448.4882 x318. Benefits include a free T-shirt and a $5 gift card to Dunkin Donuts.

3. Student athletes can apply for $500 scholarships offered by the BigSun Organization. More info is available on their website and the deadline is June 22.

4. Ledyard Rotary and the Ledyard Youth League are selling tickets for "Ledyard Day at Dodd Stadium."  The Connecticut Tigers versus the Tri-City Valley Cats on Friday, June 22, 7:05 p.m. at Dodd Stadium.  $8 per ticket.  Tickets are available at the Parks and Recreation Office or any Rotary member.

5. Shannon Haynes, RD, will give a free presentation and facilitate discussion about child nutrition and preventing childhood obesity. She promises some great information, recipes, ideas and light refreshments! This event appropriate for ages 12+ RSVP to Carolyn Wilson 860.448.4882 x318 by May 29.
