Mayor-Elect Rodolico Takes Office Today, Town Council Organizes, CVS Gets Thumbs-Up

- Today Ledyard will swear in a new mayor, John A. Rodolico, at a 10 a.m. ceremony at Ledyard Center Elementary School. Watch for our report.
- Tonight at 8 p.m., the new Ledyard Town Council will conduct an organizational meeting at which members will vote on a new chairman – Republican Councilor Sean Sullivan – and committee assignments.
- The Ledyard High Colonels football team will meet Ansonia High School for the Class M state championship on Saturday, Dec. 10, 10:30 a.m. at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Watch for our 2011 Colonels Topic Page, with links to all of our Ledyard football stories to date.
- The town last week received notice from the state Department of Transportation that it finds acceptable the proposal for a CVS pharmacy on Route 12. The DOT's approval is pending five relatively minor revisions in the site plan and installation of a traffic light, now pending with the DOT's traffic engineering office.
