Five Things: New Town Clerk Sworn In

Football Banquet Set, Girl Scouts Open House, School Board Meets

  2. Michael Curley, a 20-year resident and Republican Town Committee official, was sworn in Tuesday as Ledyard's new Town Clerk. He succeeds Cal Brouwer, who retired Dec. 31.
  3. The Ledyard High School football program will hold a team banquet and Hall of Fame induction on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at Lake of Isles. The 2011 Colonels, winners of the ECC Medium Divisional Title before advancing to the Class M State Championship game, will be honored along with the first class of the Ledyard Football Hall of Fame.   4. The Ledyard Board of Education will conduct its first regular meeting of the new year tonight at 7 p.m. in the media center. A virtual learning program is on the agenda.
  5. Former Girl Scouts are invited to join in the 100th Anniversary celebration this year! An Open House for all alumnae will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church, 284 Stoddards Wharf Road in Ledyard. For more information, visit www.gsofct.org
