Five Things to Know Today

Wet Day, LHS Lasagna Dinner and Talent Show, Gales Ferry Fun Night!

  1. A wet day ahead, with predicted rainfall of up to one inch possible. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through tonight. High temperature around 50F with winds from the southwest at 10 to 15 mph.
  2. The Ledyard High School Music Boosters will host a Lasagna Dinner at the school tonight, March 11, from 5-7:15 p.m. This event was rescheduled due to snow days. Enjoy delicious lasagna and help support Ledyard music! Those who would like to help out by making lasagna, salad or a dessert may contact Kim Campeta at 860 572-9789.
  3. Following the lasagna dinner, the annual Music Council Talent Show will begin tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Ledyard High School auditorium. So you can make a night of this – dinner followed by a great show!   4. The Animal Welfare League of New London County is having a huge “Have A Heart” tag sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at the Boilermakers Lodge, 33 Sacred Heart Drive in Groton. How big is your heart? Help AWL help more animals.
  5. Gales Ferry Community Center is hosting another great family Fun Night on Saturday, March 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Movies, food, games, and entertainment for all. Bring the entire family, from kids to grandparents, there is something for everyone and as usual it is FREE!
