Town Meeting Tonight on Budget, Matt Buriak Golf Tourney, Prom Update
- Showers and thundershowers are likely today. High temperature 62F. Winds ENE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain is 60 percent. Tonight showers are likely, and possibly a thunderstorm during the evening. Some lingering showers still possible overnight. Low around 55F.
- A Town Meeting will be held today at 7:30 p.m. in the Ledyard High School auditorium on the proposed $49.13 million town budget for 2011-12.
- Today is the Matt Buriak Memorial Golf Tournament at Lake of Isles Golf Course. The $175 per player 18-hole event included dinner. The proceeds benefit the Matt Buriak Scholarship Fund.
- Shelton High School senior James Tate finally got a reprieve and will be attending his prom after all.
- The Ledyard High School Junior Prom was this past Saturday. The Senior Prom is next Saturday, May 21. For those seniors who have yet to line up a date, it’s now or never.
