Elusive Mayoral Candidates, Girls' Sports, Breakfast at the Chamber
- For weather today I'm not even going to look. Clouds. Rain. Showers. More rain.
- The Ledyard Democratic Town Committee met last night, but still has yet to announce a candidate for Mayor. Although, says Democrat Bill Saums, a candidate is in the works. Just you wait.
- In response to that news, Mayor Fred B. Allyn Jr. correctly pointed out that the Republicans have yet to nominate anyone, either.
- Colonel girls’ sports programs are on the rise again. We’re not making this up.
- The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce has invited representatives from every high school in the region to breakfast tomorrow morning at Groton Inn and Suites. Breakfast for non-members is normally $25, so if you were invited, bring a big appetite.
