Body Was Lebanon Man, Deal for Service Members, Night of Sweet Laughs

  2. As suspected, the body kayakers discovered floating in the Thames River Sunday has been identified as Ed Tamsin, 50, of Lebanon. Tamsin went missing on May 14. His car was discovered abandoned at Stoddards Boat Launch.
  3. Here’s a deal for service members and their families. The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center is pleased to announce the launch of Blue Star Museums, the second annual partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), offering free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from May 27 through Sept. 3. 
  4. Kyle Rockett of Ledyard recently graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Individualized Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Kyle was left off the list of Ledyard students that ran Wednesday with our ECSU commencement story.
  5. Tickets are on sale now for “A Night of Sweet Laughs,” a Gallup Hill School PTO fund-raiser that will take place on June 17.  The event will feature three top NYC comedians and desserts from area restaurants and bakeries including: Valentino’s, Holmberg’s, Fireside Brick Oven Pizza, and Somewhere in Time. All proceeds will benefit the GHS PTO and the Cafetorium Project.
