Torch Run, Moms to Discuss Pot Legislation, Farmers Market Today

  2. Today’s Moms Comment asks parents how they feel about a move in the state Legislature to decriminalize marijuana. If you are a parent, you have an opinion about this. We’d like to know what you think.
  3. This is Day One of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which has become the single largest fundraiser for Special Olympics. Two legs will take place today. The first leg will start in Old Lyme and finish in Ledyard for the Day One Rally at the Two Trees Inn at Foxwoods Resort Casino at 5 p.m. The second leg will start in Putnam and finish simultaneously with the first leg in Ledyard for the rally. Watch for our coverage.
  4. This is Week Two for the Ledyard Farmers Market, which will be open today in Ledyard Center from 4-7 p.m. 
  5. A list of local UConn students who made the Dean’s List will be published today, and we will continue to publish the names of local graduates, honor roll students and dean’s list students as we receive them.
