Missing Gales Ferry Man, Malloy Visits Casinos, Carnival Day, Dancing Beluga

  1. Cooler today with intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 76F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. A few clouds tonight. Low 66.
  2. As of late Thursday police were still looking for Richard Schuerch, the elderly Gales Ferry man with Alzheimer's disease who went missing earlier in the day. Anyone with information is asked to call their local police department. Ledyard PD is 860 464-6400.
  3. Gov. Malloy was at Foxwoods Thursday afternoon. He was at Mohegan Sun earlier in the day. He didn’t win any money, but he appeared to have made some friends.
  4. The Parks and Rec summer camp kids were having a great time at Carnival Day yesterday at Col. Ledyard Park when we stopped by for a photo.
  5. If you haven’t seen this video of the mariachi-loving beluga whale at the Mystic Aquarium, check it out. Montville editor Carrie Jacobson said she could watch it 100 times, and every time it would make her happy.
