- Ledyard High School's football team is 4-1 after a 38-7 win over Bacon Academy on Saturday. And football isn't the only Ledyard sports program that has excelled this fall since the school moved to the ECC's medium division.
- The town has been awarded a $300,000 Small Cities grant to set up a Residence Rehabilitation Loan Program that would provide loans to low-to-moderate income households for home repairs.
- Remember Dan Olovsky, the former Huskies quarterback who helped launch Division 1 football at UConn? He saw some playing time last night for the Colts, who were humiliated by the Saints on Sunday Night Football. But it was fun watching Dan the Man hand off a few times to former UConn great Donald Brown.
