Five Things to Know Today
Wheeler Students, Harvest Festival, Colonels vs. Bobcats, 4-H Supper
- Nice day today. Except for a few afternoon clouds, mainly sunny. High 62F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph. Tonight Clear skies. Low 47F.
- Ledyard schools Superintendent Dr. Michael Graner said Wheeler High School students would be welcomed at Ledyard High School if North Stonington ever decides to close the school, a decision that has not been made and may never be made.
- There will be a Harvest Fall Festival Saturday at 11 a.m. at Little Learners, 130 Gallup Hill Road. This is a free, fun-filled event, with pumpkin painting, face painting, moon bounce, children's activities, plus much more.
- The Ledyard Colonels Football team will travel to Colchester Saturday to meet the Bobcats of Bacon Academy. Game time is 2 p.m.
- Once again, Ledyard 4-H Ziti Supper is tonight at 5 p.m. at the Ledyard Congregational Church. It's $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 and under. Happy people, noodle salad. Proceeds to benefit three local 4-H clubs.
