We can't thank you enough for helping us cover last year's tropical storm.

 

When Hurricane Irene set it a year ago no one was really sure what to expect of the storm.

by rushing to the stores buying up all the bottled water they could find, boarded up windows on homes and restaurants. By the time in the area on August 28, 2011 the storm was no longer a hurricane but a tropical storm.

And while the landfall wasn’t as bad as many thought it was the days that stretched into a week without power that caused the most damage. , and schools school year.
