TIMELINE: Denison/Perry Brothers Double Murder-Suicide

On Tuesday, Debra Denison picked up her 2-year-old and 6-month-old grandsons from a North Stonington day care and shot them, then herself.

 

Below is a timeline of the events that took place leading up to the tragic murder-suicide of 6-month-old Ashton Perry, 2-year-old Alton Perry, and their grandmother, Debra Denison, 47:

2004: Jeremy Perry graduates from Wheeler High School, according to his Facebook profile.

2008: Brenda Rowley graduates from Teamwork Allied Health Academy in Salem, CT, according to her Facebook profile.

Oct. 16, 2010: Brenda Rowley and Jeremy Perry marry, according to Brenda’s Facebook profile.

Feb. 26, 2011: Alton Perry is born.

Aug. 8, 2012: Ashton Perry is born.

Feb. 25, 2013: Brenda Perry makes mini-cupcakes and play-dough in prepartion for Alton’s second birthday, according to her Facebook profile.

Feb. 26, 2013: Alton Perry’s second birthday. A family party is planned for the afternoon at the Perry house in North Stonington.

Feb. 26, 2013: Alton and Ashton go to Kidds & Co. day care in North Stonington.

Feb. 26, 2013, 2:30 p.m.: Debra Denison, 47, the children’s grandmother, picks up Alton and Ashton from Kidds & Co. She is approved by the parents to pick up the children.

Feb. 26, 2013, 4 p.m.: Connecticut State Police receive a call from Brenda Perry saying that Denison and the kids never returned home.

Feb. 26, 2013, 7:45 p.m.: Connecticut State Police issue an Amber Alert for Alton and Ashton. They also issue a Silver Alert for Denison. They are looking for a 2001 white Chrysler minivan with a CT registration of 445ZAZ. Police said Denison was in possession of a .38-caliber pistol and had left a suicide note.

Feb. 26, 2013, 9:17 p.m.: A police dispatcher reports that a 911 caller says he spotted the missing Chrysler Town & Country minivan at the Lake of Isles boat launch. According to the dispatcher, the caller said the van was running and he couldn't tell if anyone was inside it.

Feb. 26, 2013, 9:22 p.m.: A report comes over the police scanner that a state trooper is "three minutes out on Route 2" from the scene.

Feb. 26, 2013, 9:31 p.m.: A report over the police scanner relays that the Eastern District Major Crime Squad has been called to the scene.

Feb. 26, 2013, 9:32 p.m.: State police shut down access to the road leading to the Lake of Isles golf course.
