Police have re-opened Avery Hill Road after a tree fell onto power lines early this afternoon. The road was closed from Route 214 #66 Avery Hill Road.
There was another tree down on primary utility lines on Route 12 between Inchcliffe Drive and Van Tassel Drive. CL&P's website was reporting that 540 customers in Ledyard were affected by the outage earlier today.
Around 2:30 p.m. police reported that the lines on Route 12 had been repaired and some Patch users wrote on Facebook that their power was back. Other Patch users wrote in hours later that they are still without power.
