Your Perspective: Hurricane Sandy

Help Patch cover the storm!

Patch is more than a local news website. We are a community platform built for residents to use to share information and spread the news. So when it comes to a major community event like Hurricane Sandy, we want to make sure you know that Patch is here for you in several ways.

First, you can share your photos and videos of the storm in two ways: either on this article (click the upload button) or in our Pics & Clips community gallery.

Second, you can write about what's happening in your neighborhood, on your street, in your backyard via our Local Voices platform - just click the 'Start A Blog' button on the home page or click here.

Third, you can share information on our Facebook page and via our Twitter feed (use #ctsandy as a hashtag and your tweets will automatically go on our live storm blog that will launch Monday morning).

Patch is not just for us to write about the news - it is for you as well.

Stay safe everyone!

In GROTON!: At Route 1/South Road intersection @ 8:00 AM.. Just enough water across the road to prevent me from going further North on Rt. 1.. (With the tide still coming IN) . At home on the North Face of Fort Hill: A lot of wind pretty much constant @ 20mph. gusting to 30-35 mph. Not enough rain to mention.

Yup, I'm staying home. No where to go, nothing to get. No reason to be out there.
