Local Review: Fuddruckers at Foxwoods

I grew up living close to a Fuddruckers and have always loved their burgers and wedge-cut fries, so I was excited to find out when we moved here that there was a location in Foxwoods.

I grew up living close to a Fuddruckers and have always loved their burgers and wedge-cut fries, so I was excited to find out when we moved here that there was a location in Foxwoods.

Fuddruckers in Foxwoods is one of the smaller chain locations, but they serve the full-size menu. We ordered regular burgers, a side of fries, a side of onion rings, a strawberry milkshake, and a chicken “bites” kids meal. My husband got the 1 lb burger and it was GIGANTIC. After they called our number, we picked up our burgers and went to the free toppings station. We piled them high with pickles, lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, jalapenos, ketchup, mustard, and my favorite Fuddruckers condiment: nacho cheese. The burgers were delicious and the buttered toasted buns made them even better. The strawberry milkshake was perfect. It was served with whipped cream and a cherry on top, and filled with chunks of real strawberries. One of my favorite things about milkshakes is when they give you the leftover milkshake in a stainless steel cup, and of course Fuddruckers did not disappoint! Both the wedge-cut fries and onion ring side orders that we ordered came out hot, crispy, and flavorful. My favorite dipping condiment for the fries? You guessed it! Nacho cheese. The kids meal came with 3 giant chicken fingers and a large helping of fries. We originally ordered the meal with apple wedges, but they ran out that night (the other option for a side was coleslaw).

There do not have bathrooms located inside the restaurant, but if you walk out of the restaurant you’ll find them to your right about 4 restaurants down. There are changing tables in both the men’s and women’s restrooms. After stuffing our faces, we went to the arcade room (only 2 restaurants away from Fuddruckers). It was a shock to the system to walk in and see all the neon lights and hear all the noises from the arcade machines, but I guess it’s the same feeling when you walk into any room in a casino. The arcade can be a bit overwhelming for little children, but my 2 year old had a great time playing air hockey, putting coins in machines, and pulling tickets out when we won. Five dollars in tokens went a long way for our family. After redeeming our tickets in the ticket counter machine and cashing them in at the prize counter, we walked away with a little doll for her and a happy girl for us.
