Eat at Fireside, Help a Family Rebuild

Fireside Brickoven Creations will host a benefit dinner Wednesday night to help the Patterson's recover and rebuild after they lost their home in April to a fire.

Flyers are popping up around town about this dinner to benefit the Patterson family, formerly of 19 South Glenwoods Avenue who lost their home to a fire early in the morning on April 10.  The family lost everything in the fire and were grateful to escape unharmed with their dog Jazz.

The benefit dinner will take place at Fireside Brickoven Creations on Wednesday, May 15, which will donate 10 percent of all sales, including take-out, that day to the Patterson’s to help them pick up the pieces.

The Pattersons have lived at 19 South Glenwoods Drive for nine years and had lived elsewhere in Ledyard before that. Dana said she was comforted in knowing she lives in such a kind community.

Donations will also be accepted at Fireside on Wednesday or people can mail or drop off donations to the The Patterson Family Fire Fund ℅ Putnam Savings Bank, 2 Chapman Lane, Gales Ferry, 06335.
