Perfect night for kicking off holidays in Ledyard Center

Leslie Doe-Koehler, organizer of the Ledyard Light Parade, said the annual event was a spectacular.  The parade included local businesses, lots of Girl Scouts, and every emergency services organization in town. (There as even a group from Preston represented.) The weather was unseasonably warm, the turnout was great and the singing, led by the Ledyard High School Key Club, was merry and bright. There was cocoa, cookies and a bon fire.

A reminder: On Saturday Dec. 10th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Ledyard Police & Ledyard Fire Departments's will be holding a Toy Drive at the Ledyard Center School. Please come out and donate a new, unwrapped toy, which will go to the Ledyard Social Services. Currently they are most in need of toys for children 8- 15 years of age.

Thank you Ledyard for all your holiday generosity! And thanks to everyone who helped organize and participated in the Light Parade!
