Are You Ready For Sandy?

Hurricane Sandy is expected to visit New England early next week.  We are all receiving public service announcements from our perspective towns, TV, radio and other media.  Last night the news also instructed us on proper use of generators.  At Bouvier Insurance, we will be working around the clock to help our clients report damages to their property. Due to sophisticated phone and automation advances you will always be able to reach Bouvier insurance. However there  are steps that you can take  in the event that you are unable to contact your agent, due to power loss etc….We advise our clients to locate their  insurance policies and  review your policy for claim contact information.  You want to make sure that you have the Claim office numbers handy if you must report damage to your home, rental properties, vehicles injury to your workers.  Its always good to have a back up plan.
We will soon be receiving updates from our insurance carriers and when a storm watch or warning is declared, there are coverage suspensions  that will be put in place that may prevent you from purchasing new insurance or reinstating a policy that is pending cancellation.   From our offices to your homes, your priority is the safety of your family and pets.  Its also a good time to review and have a practice fire drill with your family or workers. Your insurance policies will provide you with “peace of mind” knowing that you have coverage to replace these items.  If you have any safety tips to pass on, please comment.  Safety first!
