Arrangements Incomplete for Edward Foster

The 30-year-old, whose father is Ledyard Town Historian Kit Foster, drowned last Saturday in New Hampshire.

A memorial service for Edward Oliver Ferguson Foster, 30, of Gales Ferry, who died Saturday, July 13 while swimming in New Hampshire, is still in the planning stages, according to the obituary published Thursday in The Day.

Foster is the son of Jill and Kit Foster of Gales Ferry. Kit Foster is the longtime town historian. In addition to his parents, Edward is survived by his maternal grandmother, Madge Hooper of Herefordshire, UK; elder brother, Nicholas and his partner, Mabel Chong, of Montreal, Canada; older sister, Harriet Foster and her husband, Donald Howard, of Bangkok, Thailand and Sterling, Va.; and aunt, uncles, cousins, and godparents.

According to the obituary, "In accordance with Edward's wishes, his organs and tissues were recovered by the New England Organ Bank for the benefit of waiting and future recipients."
