Do students have privacy rights?

The state of Connecticut and the Ledyard Board of Education have adopted Common Core Standards. Included in the standards and lurking just out of plain sight is a massive data gathering and data mining operation directed at our children and their families. The data gathered will include all testing results, health information, disciplinary records, family information and bio-metric information. Data IS personally identifiable and up loaded to a federal data base to be stored and used by the federal government. This data gathering and retention by the federal government is just one  of many flaws with this takeover of education by the federal government. I urge all parents to spend a few minutes and become more familiar with Common Core your child's future depends on it.
