Around 10:18 Friday morning, Ledyard Police responded to a car crash on Route 12 where both drivers required emergency transport to the hospital.
According to the police report, Paul Marceau, of 1 Allyn Lane in Gales Ferry, was travelling south on Route 12 (at Oakridge Drive) when his Toyota Tacoma slid sideways in the northbound lane where Nicole E. Danna, of 95 Michigan Drive in Groton, was driving. As a result, Danna crashed into the side of Marceau's vehicle.
Both drivers were transported by Ledyard Ambulance. Gales Ferry Volunteer Fire Company also responded.
Ledyard Police have responded to eight car crashes Friday.
