Graner and Ledyard Police to Present School Security Changes

A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Graner and the Ledyard Police Department have been revising and improving school security practices and tonight parents are asked to hear their plans going forward and to offer their own ideas for improving school security.

The meeting is Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Ledyard Middle School.

Graner wrote in a letter to parents, " In conjunction with the Police Department, I plan to explain our current procedures, update the school community on some additional security measures we have recently implemented, and share our plans for future security upgrades."

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session for concerns and "to solicit suggestions for increased school safety."
