Ledyard Arrests August 15 – August 23

The following arrest information was supplied by the Connecticut State Police Troop E and the Ledyard police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

August 22

At 2:06 a.m. police responded to a report of a possible accident in the vicinity of Rose Hill Road and Route 117. Police found one car off the road. Phouthasone Singharaj, 23, of 145 Park Avenue in Uncasville, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to drive right and no license. Singharaj was assessed a $500 non-surety bond and given a Sept. 4 court date.

At 2:30 p.m., Laura C. Morrow, 20, of Calabash in North Carolina, walked into the Ledyard Police Department and turned herself in. Morrow was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, improper turn and criminal impersonation. She was assessed a $1,000 non-surety bond and given a Sept. 5 court date.

At  1:12 a.m. police arrested Justin Thomas Kilby, 23, of 62 Corning Road #3 in Norwich, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Kilby was assessed a $500 non-surety bond and given a Sept. 12 court date.

At 1:08 p.m. police recieved multiple 9-1-1 calls indicating that a vehicle had struck a utility pole on Pumpkin Hill Road near Lambtown Road. Responding officers discovered that a 2001 Toyota Camry had struck a pole and sustained heavy damage. The driver, William A. Idarola, 65, of Baltic, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to maintain insurance, failure to drive right. Idarola was assessed a $500 non-surety bond and given a Sept. 6 court date.
