Ledyard Arrests August 7 – August 15

The following arrest information was supplied by the Connecticut State Police Troop E and the Ledyard police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

August 9

At 5:10 p.m. officers were dispatched to a private residence for a domestic assault that began as a verbal argument that turned physical. Police arrested David J. Bernardo, 45, of 1573 Route 12 and charged him with assault elderly, Int.  911 call 53a-183b. Bernardo was assessed a $500 cash bond and was given a August 10 court date.

 August 11

At 12:08 a.m. officers responded to an evading accident on Jean B Court and found the vehicle of the accused in the driveway of 3 Jean B Court. Steven E. Nygren, 53, of 6 Aljen Avenue was subsequently arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to drive right, evading responsibility. Nygren was assessed a $500 non-surety bond and given an August 21 court date.

August 12

At 11:01 p.m. police responded to a disturbance on Colonel Ledyard Highway and arrested Andrew J. Olczak, 43, of 665 Colonel Ledyard Highway. Olczak was charged with disorderly conduct and is accused of pushing a victim down the stairs, which caused swelling above the eye. Olczak was assessed a non-surety bond of an undisclosed amount and given an August 13 court date.

August 13

At 2:05 a.m. police responded to a disturbance and arrested Nathaniel Steward, 30, of 1634 Route 12. Steward was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer. He was assessed a $1,500 non-surety bond and given an August 27 court date.
