Ledyard Arrests July 11 – July 19
The following arrest information was supplied by the Connecticut State Police Troop E and the Ledyard police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
July 11
At 6:14 p.m. police arrested Joseph Campo, 50, of 58 Lantern Hill Road and charged him with operating under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to drive right/at slow speed, failure to drive right at a reasonable distance. Campo was assessed a $500 non surety bond and given a July 24 court date in GA21.

July 13
At 3:17 a.m. police arrested Kaitlin Cedio, 21, of 51 Sacred Heart Drive in Groton, following after a motor vehicle stop on Route 12 in Ledyard. Cedio was charged with operating under suspension and failure to drive in the proper land. She was released on a promise to appear and given a July 24 court date in GA21.

At 5:51 p.m. Ledyard K-9 units responded to a report of suspect who had fled the scene after assaulting a female victim in a motor vehicle on Route 32 in Montville. The report says that “police personnel with the assistance of two canine units were able to locate (the suspect) attempting to flee into a nearby casino. Police charged Scott Rebby, 48, of 1621 Elbow Road in Chesapeake, Virginia, with third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, breach of peace, possession of narcotics, and prescription w/o a container. Rebby was found to be possessing property reported stolen in Norwich. He was assessed a $10,000 surety bond and given a July 16 court date.
At 11:46 p.m. police arrested Charles Klaben, 48, of 269 Whalehead Road, while he was travelling on Norwich-New London Road in Montville and charged him with failure to have lights lit and devices illuminated and operating under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Klaben was assessed a $500 non surety bond and given a July 31 court date.
July 14
At 3:22 a.m. police arrested Joshua Chapman, 30, of 85 Military Highway in Gales Ferry, and charged him with second degree burglary, second degree criminal mischief, first degree criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct: no fight/no threat/no obstructing. According to the report, “the accused forcibly entered his ex-girlfriend’s (Montville) residence. A disturbance ensued.” Chapman was assessed a $30,000 cash bond and given a July 16 court date.
July 15
At 2:49 a.m. police responded to a report of a disturbance at on 824 Colonel Ledyard Highway and arrested roommates Nicholas Blanchard, 24, and David Cooper, 42. The report says there was a verbal argument that turned physical with both parties wrestling and punching each other. No charges were listed on the report and it says Blanchard was given a July 16 court date; Cooper was given a July 15 court date.
