Ledyard Man Arrested For Car Theft

The accused was also wanted for failure to appear in court for previous charges.

 

, 35, of 7 Lee Brook Drive was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree larceny of a vehicle after a state police K9 unit tracked his scent from a stolen car found in Sawmill Park to Greene’s known residence.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. Tuesday the Ledyard Police Department received the report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the saw mill at Sawmill Park in Ledyard, according to Ledyard Police Lt. Michael Finkelstein.

The vehicle had been stolen from New London but displayed plates stolen from Westerly, Rhode Island.

Greene was also wanted on eight outstanding arrest warrants for failure to appear in court. He was held on $172,000 bond and given a July 11 court date.
