Ledyard Man Charged in Heroin Bust
About a Pound of Heroin, Other Drugs Seized in Arrest
A Ledyard man has been charged with multiple drug offenses after the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotic Task Force seized a cache of illegal drugs on Thursday, including 435 grams (about a pound) of heroin with an estimated street value of $18,000.
After a lengthy investigation by the East Field Office that involved several controlled purchases of heroin, a narcotics-related search warrant was executed Thursday at a Ledgewood Road residence.
Police charged Timothy Paprocki, 27, of 29 Ledgewood Road, with four counts of possession of heroin, four counts of possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and operating a drug factory.

Seized were 1,500 individual bags of heroin packaged for sale, 15 grams of marijuana, an assorted amount of restricted pills, an undisclosed amount of cash and drug paraphernalia that included digital scales and packaging material.
Paprocki was to appear in New London Superior Court Thursday. His bond was set at $475,000.

State Police Troop E, Montville, Troop D, Danielson, the Ledyard Police Department and the Stonington Police Department all assisted with this operation.
The Statewide Narcotic Task Force, East Field Office, comprises members from the State Police, the New London, Groton Town, Groton City, Putnam and Willimantic Police Departments.
