Ledyard Man Charged With Rape
Johan Batista, 27, of 829 Shewville Road was charged Friday with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child.
A 27-year-old Ledyard man was charged Friday with rape.
On Friday, police arrested Johan Batista, 27, of 829 Shewville Road, Ledyard, with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor in connection to an incident in Deep River, according to state police. He was held on $200,000 bond at Hartford Correctional Center, according to police.
Batista's first court appearance was this morning. No further information was released.
