Ledyard Police Seeking Accident Suspect

Police activity for Aug. 9 and 10.

Reberto Jimenez-Aguilar, 30, of 39 Boswell Ave. in Norwich, simple trespass, $92 bond. According to the Connecticut State Police Casino Licensing and Operations Unit, Jimenez-Aguilar was found in the Foxwoods Resort Casino food court by casino security and recognized as a previously ejected patron.

Accidents

At about 10:14 a.m. on Aug. 9, a tan 1999 Subaru Outback lost control for an unknown reason while traveling west on Route 2 in wet roadway conditions at the entrance to the Lot 10 parking lot at Foxwoods Casino. The vehicle collided with a utility pole and power utility box, which was knocked off its foundation. The vehicle left the scene and continued west on Route 2 toward Preston. Troopers determined the vehicle’s make, model, color, and year from vehicle debris left at the scene and determined that there was significant damage to the rear passenger side and rear driver’s side of the vehicle. Anyone with information on the accident should contact Connecticut State Police Troop E at 860-848-6500, extension 5107.

At about 1:12 p.m. on Aug. 10, a 2001 Lincoln Continental driven by Rosela Green of Groton was traveling west on Whitford Road when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The accident caused minor damage to the vehicle, which was not towed.
