Police Blotter: Assault Charges Brought Against All Involved

Arrests reported from Feb. 16 through Feb. 26

The following arrests were recorded at the Connecticut State Police Troop E in Montville. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all are innocent until proven guilty.

Feb. 24

The Ledyard police responded to report of an assault at 956 Long Cove Road but the "suspect fled prior to arrival but located by Stonington PD," according to the report.

Todd Wilcox, of 452 Liberty Street in Pawcatuck, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault. The police report says that the initial caller, Michael Sangria, 35, of 956 Long Cove Road, was both a victim and the aggressor in this incident and was subsequently arrested and was also charged with third-degree assault after Wilcox made a formal complaint.

The report says they were both injured but an ambulance was not summoned. They were both assessed $5,000 non-surety bond and given a Feb. 24 court date.
