Honda Accord Reported Stolen From Foxwoods Parking Lot

On Feb. 17, at 2:20 a.m., a car driven by Brian Plent, 37, of Middletown, was stopped for a faulty tail light on Route 12 near Van Tassel Drive. Plent was subsequently charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. He also was cited for the rear lamp violation. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and ordered to appear in New London Superior Court on March 3.

On Feb. 12, at approximately 9:40 p.m., a green Honda Accord was reported stolen from the Foxwoods Casino Parking Lot C.  The vehicle’s CT plate number is 535NNH. It is believed to have been stolen by two males, who left in an unknown direction. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Connecticut State Police at 860 848-6500.

On Feb. 11, at 11:24 p.m., police arrested Jeffrey Hayward, 34, of 30 Fox Trail, Mashantucket, following an investigation of a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Preston. Police said Hayward left the scene of the crash, but was later apprehended and charged with evading the scene of an accident, driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and interfering with an officer. He was scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Feb. 14.
