A Connecticut State Trooper with a K-9 partner tracked the suspect, and found him hiding in thick brush against a retaining wall.

“The suspect refused to comply with lawful commands,” the report says, “and K9 Blaze was used to apprehend him.”

He was assessed a $25,000 bond on the final charge, and given a Jan. 31 court date.

After Daw was taken into custody, the report says, police found brass knuckles in his possession. He was then taken to Backus Hospital “for injuries sustained from the K9 apprehension,” the report says.

It adds that it appeared that Daw was attempting to remove copper pipe from the basement of the home.
